Khmer Music – Privacy Policy

Khmer Music is a music player for songs you own. It has no accounts and no analytics. It is free and shows ads from Google AdMob. The developer does not collect, store or receive any of your data; your songs, playlists and lyrics never leave your device.

Data stored on your device

• The songs you import, their cover art and lyrics, your playlists, liked songs, recently played list and settings. These stay in the app's storage on your iPhone and are deleted when you delete the app.
• If you connect a Telegram bot, its token is kept in the iOS Keychain on your device.

When the app uses the internet

• Telegram (optional). If you connect your own Telegram bot, the app talks to Telegram's Bot API (api.telegram.org, or a server address you enter) with your bot token to receive and download the audio files you send to your bot. Telegram's own privacy policy applies to that service.
• Lyrics (optional). When you tap "Search lyrics online", the song's title, artist, album and length are sent to LRCLIB to find matching lyrics. Nothing else is sent.

Advertising

The app shows a small banner and, occasionally, a full-screen ad provided by Google AdMob. Ads are never shown on your car screen (CarPlay or Android Auto) and play without sound.

• To show and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects device and usage information such as your IP address, the device's advertising identifier, device model and operating system, and ad interactions. Google processes this information under its own privacy policy and explains it at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
• On iPhone, the advertising identifier is only shared if you choose "Allow" when the app asks for tracking permission. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. If you don't allow it, you still see ads, but they are less personalised.
• If you are in a region where consent is required (such as the EEA, the UK or Switzerland), the app asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown.

Apart from Telegram, LRCLIB and Google's advertising services, the app does not contact any other server.

Permissions

The app plays audio in the background and shows playback controls on the lock screen, in Control Center and in your car. It only opens files you choose to import and does not access your photos, contacts, location or microphone.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
